  3. Watch tv only twice a week

Happy 1st Birthday Selena!

My precious baby is officially one years old! I feel like her first year just flew by. She’s no longer a baby, but a toddler now. She is currently 30 inches tall and weighs 22 pounds. When she was born, she was 18.5 inches tall and 7.5 pounds. It amazes me to see how much she has grown and learned in only one year. She isn’t walking yet, but she crawls, explores, babbles, eats same food as me, can say a few words, understands simple commands, and is very attached to her mom!

No New Clothes 2020

Something that people might not know about me is that I have way too much clothes. It doesn’t help that I get way too attached to my clothes and keep everything, even if I don’t ever wear it again. Last year, I cut back massively on buying myself clothes. I ONLY bought what I absolutely needed. In 2019 this is what I bought- 1 bikini top ($16), 3 bras ($10/$12 each), a pair of black flats ($15), and a pair of black pants ($10). I spent less than $100 on clothes for myself last year. This year, I want to take it further and not buy myself any new clothes. I am still trying to cut back even more on clothes and minimize what I have. The only exception to this will be socks, underwear, and bras. The first month in and it has been a breeze so far. I don’t miss buying myself clothes at all. Let’s see how the next 11 months go.

Looking Back at 2019

2019 was a big year for me. The biggest and most exciting thing that happened was the birth of my daughter, Selena Taylor. I never knew how hard motherhood was. She has grown and changed so much just in one year. I can’t believe she will be 1 year old at the end of next week.

Some other things that happened in 2019 were: I got a new job, I quit my job at the YMCA, broke up with my boyfriend, started a new business (Athena Rose), ran two half marathons, two 10k races, and four 5k races.

The only bad thing about 2019 was that I didn’t get to travel much since Selena was small. I hope in 2020 I get to travel more.
