Looking Back at 2025

2025 was a busy

My daughter officially got diagnosed with ADHD and Autism level 2. It was such a relief to know, but at the same time very difficult because I know that life can be a bit harder for neurodivergent people. I had suspected since she was 3 years old that she might have ADHD, but it wasn’t until she was getting ready to start kindergarten, that I suspected she might also have autism. A few months after her diagnosis, she started ABA therapy.

Last year, my daughter and I got to travel down to San Diego for a few days. It was the first time we traveled anywhere just the two of us.

2026 Bucket List and Goals

Here are my goals and bucket list items for 2026. I want this year to be about spending more time with my family, being outdoors more, learning, and getting closer to being debt free. I have both small and big goals here just to mix things up.

Personal/Hobbies

  1. Read 52 books
  2. Learn to crochet
  3. Be late less than 30 times to work
  4. Finally learn to roller skate

Family

  1. LA County Fair/OC County Fair
  2. Oogie Boogie with Selena
  3. LA Zoo

Fitness

  1. Run 500 miles
  2. Go on 10 hikes
  3. Start bike riding
  4. Run a 25 minute 5k
  5. Run a 56 minute 10k
  6. Run a 2:10 half marathon
  7. Run a 5:15 full marathon
  8. Run 10 races

Travel

  1. Go to San Diego
  2. Visit Ojai
  3. Strawberry Festival in Oxnard
  4. Visit San Francisco
  5. Solvang during Christmas time

Financial

  1. Pay off Affirm
  2. Pay off Cherry (dentist)

Business

  1. Have 1,000 subscribers on YouTube
  2. 1,000 followers in personal and Athena Rose Instagram
  3. Make $5,000 with Athena Rose
  4. Make $1,000 with Selena’s Sweets (name change)

  1. Visit Universal Studios Hollywood

2025 Bucket List and Goals recap

Here are the goals I set for myself for 2025.

Fitness Goals

  1. Run 500 miles x Ran about 430 miles
  2. Run full marathon under 6 hours ~ Ran a full marathon at exactly 6 hours
  3. Run a half under 2:30 hours * Ran a half marathon at 2:18
  4. Run a 10k under 58 minutes x Came close, ran a 10k and 60/62 minutes
  5. Run a 5k under 29 minutes * Ran a 28 minute 5k
  6. 10 races x Ran only 7 races
  7. 5 hikes x Didnd’t go on a single hike

Personal Goals

  1. Read 52 books * Easy goal for me to achieve
  2. Learn to crochet X Not yet
  3. Learn to roller skate x Didn’t happen
  4. Learn to change a flat tire x Didn’t happen

It seems like I didn’t accomplish a majority of my goals last year, mainly because I was busy working so much. I am hoping I can do better with my goals in 2026.
