Here’s how I did with my May goals.
I have been going to the Boysenberry festival every single year since it started. They always have so many yummy treats and drinks to try. this year I went three times and got a few things. here are the things I got and some of my favorites, along with some not so tasty things.

Some things I saw. I bought the bag and take it everywhere. Also bought some tasty boysenberry things to bake.

My first time going this year, I tried the bbq chicken wings, boysenberry sangria, beignets with boysenberry powder, boysenberry waffles, and boysenberry elote. Everything was really good, except the sangria. I never had that before and didn’t realize that it was made with wine.

The second trip to Boysenberry Festival I got boysenberry meatball pizza, bbq beef with grits, boysenberry latte, and boysenberry mango lemonade. The drinks were both so good! The food, not so much. The problem with the pizza was just that it was too cold. This was my first time eating grits and I wasn’t a fan of the texture or taste.

I regret not getting the cute snoopy plushie. On my last trip, I only got 3 things, the elote, boysenberry tea, and boysenberry icee float with soft serve. The icee float and the elote are two of my all time favorites and I try to get them every year if they’re offered. Can’t wait for next year, food is always great there
I was unemployed in 2022 for about 8 or 9 months so I had plenty of time to read. I read a little over 200 books last year, so picking my favorites was really difficult. I read a variety of books from YA books to mystery to crime to thrillers and everything in between.
Here are some of my favorite books I read last year, in no specific order. Picking my favorite books was hard enough, it would’ve been too much for me to rank them in order.
I also wanted to include some of my favorite authors from last year as well.
Earlier this year, I went to the boysenberry brunch at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. I decided to go by myself because it was pricey. It was $72 before my passholder discount.
There were so many food choices and I love boysenberry so I was excited to try all the food. The buffet came with bottomless boysenberry mimosas. I normally don’t like to drink, but this was very tasty! My favorites from the buffet were the made to order omelette, boysenberry meatballs, boysenberry mashed potatoes, and the boysenberry cheesecake.
Overall the food was good, the only things I didn’t like were the shrimp and the fried bite thing, not sure what it was. All I know is that it wasn’t very good. Knott’s Berry Farm always makes really good food for the Boysenberry Festival and this buffet was as good as I expected. I just wish I had been able to eat more, I got full pretty quickly.

A few months ago, I was able to go to a Disney After Dark event for the first time. I chose to go to the Princess Nite.

I was able to go in a little bit early thanks to my pass. The event officially started at 9pm and ended at 1am. I was planning to stay a few hours but ended up staying til almost 1 am, which is unusual for me since I am not normally a night owl. The rides all had short lines. Most of the long lines were for the princesses. Since I normally go with my daughter once or twice a month, we see most of the princesses that were there.

Here are a few things I got on Princess Nite. Spicy sausage shrimp skewer and a slushie and a trifle cake. Everything was so tasty!

These two were the only princesses I was willing to wait in line for! I think the lines for Princess Tiana and Princess Atta were about 20-30 minutes long.
I heard some of the lines for the other princesses were 1-2 hours long. I think the line for Princess Leia was 3 or 4 hours long. Princess Nite had lots of fun photo ops, interesting
