The Olsen Twins Influence

I grew up being a huge fan of Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen, aka the Olsen Twins. For those who don’t know, they got their start as babies in Full House. I grew up watching them play Michelle Tanner. Later on, I would watch their other movies, tv shows, read the books they came out in, played with the barbies they sold, and even played video games made after them. As you can see, I was a really big fan of them. To this day, I still have many of their books and dvds.

They have inspired me in so many ways. They are the reason I decided I wanted to start my own business. Not only start a business, but start my own brand. They created a brand of many products that they used to sell at Walmart, such as clothes, books, dolls, etc. This is still my dream, though I am working on this very slowly.

They are also the reason I spent 10 years wanting to go to the Mall of America, which I did in December 2014 with my sister. We had so much fun on our first trip together.

Because of the Olsen twins,  I also wanted to be a clothes designer and go to FIDM. Two of my friends and I were planning to start a clothing line called TMS. That didn’t happen because I realized I don’t have a good sense of fashion, but at least I got to visit FIDM when I was younger.

These are a few ways that the Olsen Twins have inspired me over the last 20 years or so. I hope that 2020 is the year I can finally reach my goals and make the 9 year old me proud.

Spring Break 2016

Spring break was almost a month and a half ago, but I’ve been busy with work and school so I haven’t had much time to write. This year, I had a good spring break. No I didn’t travel to Mexico or Florida like many college students do, but I enjoyed it anyways.

Although I worked through most of my spring break, I was also able to go to Knott’s Berry Farm with my sister Destiny for their annual Boysenberry Festival and Universal Studios Hollywood with my family.

Besides working out, I also went to the gym, had Hulu marathons, got to catch up on my reading, and just rest.

This was my second year going to the Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm. I loved the selection they had. Even though I like sweets and desserts, I ended up liking the BBQ things with boysenberry BBQ sauce the best. One interesting thing I tried was fried alligator with boysenberry Aoli.

It had been years since I went to Universal, maybe 5 years or so. They have made so many changes. Some good, like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which was open even though I went March 25, and the addition of a mini Springfield . A small scale of the city where the Simpsons takes place. While I do think the Minions ride was cute, I didn’t like the fact that they took out the Terminator 3dshow for that. Still not over them getting the ET ride, even if the Mummy ride is fun. Somehow, my mom and I were able to convince my 6 year old sister to join us. I also miss the I Love Lucy store/museum they had before. As always, I had fun on the studio tour. Yes, its such a touristy thing to do, but I like it! Random, but when we first got to City Walk, we saw Mario Lopez lol We went to eat at Pinks and Pizza hut afterwards.
